Saratoga Springs, UT (September 26, 2022) – A passenger in a vehicle died on Monday, September 26th during a collision with a school bus from the Alpine School District in Saratoga Springs.
Officials said the crash took place at about 6:35 a.m. near the intersection of Ring Road and Redwood Road when the driver of the vehicle tried to make a lefthand turn into a Maverick gas station and was struck by the bus.
The vehicle’s passenger was killed during the impact and the driver sustained serious injuries.
The bus driver and four high school students onboard the bus were unharmed.
A representative said that a second bus picked up the students. Their parents were also notified.
Police are still investigating but so far there has been no sign of any contributing factors.
The area was closed until 11:00 a.m.
