Most people believe that, due to their specialized training, truck drivers act more responsibly and safely than those who drive passenger vehicles, and, at least in theory, this is true.
Truck drivers have a huge duty of care when it comes to transporting heavy and oftentimes dangerous cargo. They are subjected to strict and methodical training in order to learn the various parts of the truck and understand how to safely transport the materials they carry. Unfortunately, hundreds of people are still severely injured or killed every year in Utah because of a truck driver’s irresponsibility.
Some common behaviors that lead to serious tractor-trailer accidents include:
- Distraction
- Fatigue/Lack of sleep
- Drunk and/or drugged driving
- Speeding/Reckless driving
- Vehicle defects/Improper maintenance
We understand that the healing process after a Utah truck crash injury often takes months or even years depending on its severity.
The law says you are owed compensation for your hospital bills, lost income, property damage, and emotional trauma. Our Utah truck accident lawyers will review the police report, investigate the driver, and question any eyewitnesses to develop a full understanding of how the accident happened.
