The Utah Highway Safety Office reported that the state’s rate of accidents involving pedestrians has increased every single year for the past decade, with 2012 highlighting the apex of these preventable incidents.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration calculated that a pedestrian is injured by contact with a vehicle once every eight minutes and a pedestrian is killed every two hours nationwide.
