Salt Lake City, UT (March 28, 2022) – Officers from the Salt Lake City Police Department were dispatched to the site of a traffic-related crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
The crash took place at about 10:00 p.m. in the 2400th block of South Foothill Drive on Sunday, March 27th in Salt Lake City.
Upon their arrival, officers located the victim, 70-year-old Marilyn Alleman, lying in the roadway. Alleman was attempting to cross the street when she was hit by a southbound vehicle. Onlookers and EMTs attempted life-saving efforts, but she died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
