Washington City, UT (June 03, 2022) – Three patients were taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle collision in the 1100th block of East Telegraph Streetbon Thursday, June 2nd.
According to the Washington City Police Chief, a Kia and a Toyota were both heading eastbound at 40-45 miles per hour when the Toyota suddenly turned in front of the Kia, causing a collision.
Police responded to the scene at about 2:50 p.m. Extrication was initially requested due to the driver’s side door damage sustained by the Toyota, but rescuers were able to open it without assistance and extract the adult female driver from the vehicle.
An assessment revealed that the woman was experiencing chest pains and having difficulty breathing. She also had a laceration on her arm and various other injuries.
A passenger in the Kia also complained of chest pain and had a fractured ankle. The driver of the Kia also complained of pain, but no cause was specified.
All three patients were transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to St. George Regional Hospital.
