Salt Lake City, UT (June 12, 2022) – Two people sustained critical injuries on Saturday, June 11th when their stalled vehicle was hit on Interstate 215 in Salt Lake City.
At about 10:00 p.m., a vehicle carrying four people stalled alongside the westbound lanes of the interstate in the area of 1500 West. Two of the occupants exited the car. As the driver leaned out of their window to warn oncoming vehicles with his cellphone light, an SUV ran into the back of the stalled vehicle, ejecting the driver onto the roadway.
The driver and one passenger were transferred to a local hospital in extremely critical condition.
The driver of the SUV sustained non-critical injuries. Troopers are investigating whether that driver was under the influence when the collision occurred.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
If you were hurt in a vehicle collision, you probably have a lot of pressing questions, like How will you afford to pay your hospital bills? How long will it be before you can go back to work? Is your insurance actually going to cover your injuries and other damages?
A car crash is a dreadful experience. To make matters worse, insurance adjusters often try to bully or sweet-talk victims into settling their claim with a lowball offer as quickly as possible. They will push you to agree to a settlement before you have even learned the full extent of your injuries. It is crucial that you do not let an avaricious insurance provider coerce you into settling for a settlement that you and they know is not even close to what you are entitled to.
