Soldier Summit, UT (July 16, 2022) – Two people were killed and one was left in extremely critical condition after a three-vehicle crash in Wasatch County on Friday, July 15th.
The incident occurred at about 2:05 p.m. when a Ford Explorer traveling westbound on U.S. 6 in Soldier Summit hydroplaned and swerved into oncoming traffic where it T-boned an oncoming Toyota Sienna minivan.
The third involved vehicle, a Honda Accord, was following too closely to the Toyota and rear-ended it during the impact.
A total of nine people were in the three vehicles. It was not made immediately clear which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
If you were injured during a traffic accident, you most likely have more than a few urgent questions, such as:
- How am I going to afford my medical bills?
- How long will I be out of work?
- Is my insurance going to cover all of my crash-related damages?
A serious accident is an upsetting experience. As if the incident itself hasn’t shaken you enough, insurance companies commonly bully or deceive victims into agreeing to settle their claim for a lot less than it is worth. They often try to get you to sign on the dotted line before you have even received a thorough medical evaluation and know the severity of your injuries.
It is important that you do not let an overzealous insurance company employee con you into settling for less than you deserve.
A Utah personal injury attorney will be able to explain the entire legal process to you and help ease your feelings of anxiety, and confusion.
