Cottonwood Heights, UT (July 18, 2022) – Firefighters in Cottonwood Heights were called to the scene to rescue a woman trapped in a burning home on Monday, July 18th.
The Unified Fire Authority said that the fire began in the backyard of a residence in the 8900th block of South Alpen Way at about 4:00 p.m.
When responders arrived, they found the victim still inside the home but were able to extricate her.
A member of the fire crew described the fire conditions inside the residence as un-survivable.
The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries believed to be non-critical.
