Provo, UT (January 20, 2022) – A car collided with another vehicle and flipped down an embankment causing injuries to two people on Wednesday, January 19th in Provo.
According to sources, the accident took place at about 10:00 p.m. when a speeding driver struck another car in the Foothills, careened over a barrier, and rolled down an embankment.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and their passenger was trapped inside as it caught fire.
The fire department responded and doused the fire. The passenger was safely extracted and both victims were transported to local hospitals.
The driver was listed in stable condition and the passenger was critical.
The crash is still under investigation but police suspect the driver was impaired.
