Layton, UT (January 4, 2022) – A young boy has lost his life as a result of a crash in Layton on Monday afternoon, January 3. At around 3:15 p.m., authorities responded to the scene of a crash on Utah State Route 193.
Reports from Layton City Police show that a woman and boy were traveling east in a car on Utah State Route 193 when a pickup truck turned in front of them. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The boy suffered severe injuries in the crash. The woman and child were both transported to area hospitals for care.
Authorities confirmed that the young boy later passed away from his injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
