St. George, UT (August 14, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after a driver failed to navigate a turn and their vehicle overturned on Sunday, August 14th in St. George.
The crash occurred at about 3:50 p.m. on Old Dixie Highway 91 when the driver of a southbound Chevrolet Tahoe failed to navigate a turn and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Beaver Dam Fire Department responded to the scene. One patient was taken by SCI Fire and Rescue to St. George Regional Hospital with unspecified injuries.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
When you are a passenger in a vehicle involved in a crash, there are a couple of options open to you when you pursue recovery for your injuries. The first step of the procedure is the same as it is for the driver once the property damage is dealt with, and that is to turn to your Personal Injury Protection coverage.
No matter the circumstance, Personal Injury Protection is always used first and covers the first $3,000 of the medical expenses for each passenger, in each accident. In the event that the passenger has not recovered by the time the PIP runs out, they will then have a bodily injury claim against the at-fault driver.
Seeking financial compensation for losses can be a little bit tough when you were not the driver in an accident. Contact our Utah passenger injury attorneys at (801) 350-3506 to learn about your rights.
