Murray, UT (July 31, 2022) – One person sustained injuries and a family of five was displaced when their home was consumed by fire on Saturday, July 30th in Murray.
Fire crews and other responders were dispatched to the home in the 5700th block of South Golden Drive at about 8:00 p.m. Upon their arrival, they found the residence already engulfed in flames.
Once two juveniles who had initially been reported as missing were accounted for, firefighters worked to keep the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.
One adult male was taken by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center with second-degree burns.
Although fire officials deemed the residence uninhabitable, a silver lining came in the form of the safe recovery of the family’s two dogs, both entirely unharmed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
