Morgan, UT – One Injured In Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer On I-84 At MP 92

Morgan, UT (August 8, 2022) – On August 8, a number of lanes on Interstate 84 in Morgan County were closed due to a collision involving a large tractor-trailer and another passenger vehicle.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on westbound Interstate 80 around mile marker 92 in Morgan, close to Mountain Green, in the late evening hours, around 10:30 p.m.

The truck driver was allegedly transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The region’s I-84 eastbound lanes were closed for many hours as emergency services retrieved the debris. At this time, no more information is available.

Our condolences are with the injured individual and their family. We hope for their full recovery.

During the decade before 2002, the number of semi-trucks involved in fatal accidents increased by 11%, and this increase was mostly related to avoidable causes like driver weariness, irresponsible driving, large or unbalanced load, and malfunctioning components. Accidents involving semi-trucks are prone to the same factors as automobile accidents, including intoxicated drivers, driver error, tired driving, equipment failures, and poor maintenance.

After being hit by a semi-truck, the majority of victims must face a painful and lengthy recovery process. This may need laborious and painful physical therapy in addition to several operations and costly, continual medical treatments, all of which result in an ever-growing pile of hospital bills in addition to other associated damages, such as lost income due to incapacity to work.

Sadly, the majority of semi-truck accident victims accept the first payment without considering their possible future medical bills and, in some cases, without having received a definitive medical diagnosis. This prevalent mistake leaves victims accountable for the remaining, not minor costs.

An injured person should speak with a semi-truck injury lawyer in Utah when negligence leads to harm on the roadway. A victim of another’s actions is entitled to compensation under the law.

You have the best chance of receiving the compensation you are entitled to if you are represented by an experienced Utah semi-truck accident attorney who knows how to estimate the costs you may pay in the coming months.
