Duchesne, UT (August 11, 2022) – A large tractor-trailer collided with another passenger car on State Route 87 on August 11, resulting in the closure of many lanes and multiple injuries.
The Utah Highway Patrol reported about 10:10 p.m. that a collision on State Route 87 near milepost 12 slowed traffic in both directions.
According to reports, the truck driver was sent to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The region’s roadways were closed for several hours as rescue workers cleared the debris. However, there is currently no more information available.
We wish all injured victims involved in today’s truck accident a full recovery.
In the decade before 2002, the incidence of fatal incidents involving semi-trucks increased by 11%, mostly owing to avoidable causes such as driver weariness, irresponsible driving, excessive or unbalanced loads, and defective components. Semi-truck accidents may be caused by the same factors as automobile accidents, including inebriated drivers, driver errors, tired driving, equipment failures, and bad maintenance.
The majority of semi-truck accident victims must suffer a tough and lengthy recovery process. This may need rigorous and painful physical rehabilitation, as well as many procedures and costly, continual medical treatments, all of which result in an ever-growing pile of hospital bills and other damages, such as lost pay due to incapacity to work.
Sadly, the vast majority of semi-truck accident victims accept the first compensation offer without considering future medical costs and, in some cases, without a medical diagnosis. This frequent oversight leaves victims liable for the remaining, not small costs.
Plaintiffs should contact a Utah semi-truck accident attorney when negligence results in losses and damages. A victim of another’s wrongdoing is legally entitled to compensation.
You have the best chance of receiving the compensation to which you are entitled if you are represented by an experienced Utah semi-truck accident attorney who can estimate your future expenditures.
