Motorcycle Accidents in St. George
Fatal collisions are a threat encountered by motorcyclists much more than the passengers or driver of any other kind of car or truck. Due to the fact that riders have no protection between their body, the pavement, or other vehicles, the injuries they receive are typically serious or fatal.
Even the most careful of motorcycle riders have greatly increased odds of sustaining injuries during a vehicle collision when compared to the occupant of a car or truck.
While just 3% of registered vehicles in Utah are motorcycles, the state’s Department of Public Safety has recorded that Utah endured a total of 273 accident fatalities in 2017, 39 of which, about 14%, were riding motorcycles.
According to newly established data calculated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, people who ride motorcycles incur five timesthe risk of enduring injuries than others involved in the crash.
