Ogden, UT (September 10, 2021) – Officials identified a man who died last Friday evening, September 3, in a head-on collision that occurred in Ogden.
The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Yuri Young, according to officers with the Ogden Police Department.
A previous statement released by the police department indicated that the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. First responders arrived at the scene at 1100 North Washington Boulevard and discovered Young in critical condition.
Initial reports indicated that Young, who was driving a Ford F-150, was traveling southbound when his pickup hit a larger truck, a Ford F-350, in a head-on collision.
EMS attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but they pronounced Young dead before he could be transported to a hospital.
A 70-year-old woman driving the F-350 pickup, and paramedics treated her at the scene. Authorities then took her to an area hospital via ambulance to be treated for serious but not-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are continuing their investigation and have not released further details. They are still working to piece together the events causing the collision.
