Logan, UT (October 26, 2021) – The driver of a Dodge Caravan driving through Logan Canyon lost control of the vehicle on Tuesday, October 26th, and spun directly into the path of a Ford F-350, killing the driver on impact.
According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the Dodge Caravan was heading eastbound on US-89 near mile marker 489 when it crashed into barriers on either side of the highway.
The Ford was heading westbound on the same roadway and collided with the passenger side of the Caravan, killing the driver.
A child who was in the Caravan was transported to a local hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
The driver of the Ford was also hospitalized.
Lane restrictions are in place while the cause of the crash is being investigated, and the site is cleaned up.
Road conditions are suspected to be a contributing factor.
