Car Accidents in Garland
In Utah, personal injury victims are given four years from the day of their accident to file a claim of personal injury. If you fail to file your case before the statute of limitations expires, courts could refuse to even hear your case.
During a personal injury case, you will be asked if you want to take a settlement or if you’d prefer to go to trial and the answer lies in the details of your case. As an unwritten rule, most cases do not go to trial, and the majority of personal injury suits are settled during one of the pre-trial phases.
While you are certainly not obliged to have legal representation in order to pursue financial compensation for an accident, hiring an attorney has many advantages and will give you a greater chance of acquiring the damages you need to cover your accident-related costs.
Having a trial-tested personal injury attorney in your corner can also be reassuring because you will receive professional legal advice which will mitigate any possible mistakes that could keep you from collecting the full amount of compensation you are entitled to.
