Salt Lake City, UT (November 06, 2021) – A one-car accident left a passenger dead and the driver hospitalized on Saturday, November 6th.
Troopers from Salt Lake County said the crash took place in the eastbound lane of State Route 201 at about 1:35 a.m. when a car occupied by two women ran off the roadway and overturned.
The passenger was ejected from the force of the impact and died at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The driver survived and was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Officials have not determined the cause of the crash, but suspect alcohol impairment is a factor.
