Provo, UT (November 18, 2021) – A fatal accident caused the deaths of a young child and an elderly man on Thursday, November 18th in Provo.
Officers responded to the scene in the 600th block of West Lakeview Parkway at about 2:30 p.m. The head-on accident involved two pick-up trucks. The collision caused one of the trucks to go on fire. A citizen responded quickly and extinguished it.
One of the deceased was a 75-year-old man from one of the vehicles. The other was a 5-year old child from the other.
The Provo Fire Department assisted multiple people who were trapped inside their cars.
The Provo Police Traffic Team is currently investigating the crash.
