Wrong-Way Accidents in Utah
Head-on accidents are one of the most serious forms of car accidents. They often force their survivors to endure catastrophic injuries, and sometimes even fatalities. Head-on collisions can happen when a driver fails to keep control of their vehicle. This can be the result of distracted, speeding, or drunk drivers.
Whenever a driver plows into oncoming traffic, the chances of a fatal head-on collision are high. These kinds of accidents are more powerful than other two-car crashes. Collision data shows that these wrong-way crashes have a 60% fatality rate. Although these accidents only make up about 2% of all yearly traffic accidents in the state, they cause about 10% of all yearly crash fatalities.
If you are considering filing a personal injury claim after a head-on crash, it is essential that you secure legal representation from an experienced attorney who can grasp the physics behind your accident and the legal nuances that apply to it.
