After being involved in a car accident, it is necessary for injured victims to secure legal representation as quickly as possible. To properly determine the cause of the accident and assign liability, it is important that the scene is investigated and witnesses are debriefed as soon as possible before people forget, memories shift, crucial evidence is destroyed or lost, and insurance carriers start working against you.
Legal advocation from a reputable car accident attorney is critical in stopping the insurance company from taking advantage of you in your hour of need. It is not uncommon for their adjusters to force or trick vulnerable victims into agreeing to a settlement that is far less than they deserve in order to protect their bottom line, making you a victim for the second time.
