Murray, UT (May 06, 2021) – A serious four-car collision in Murray on Thursday, May 6th put three people in the hospital, one of whom was listed in critical condition.
The accident, which involved a white SUV, a black Corvette, a brown pick-up truck, and a Utah Transit Authority vehicle, took place at about 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of State Street and East 4500 South.
Sources showed that the white SUV was passed southbound through the intersection at the same time as the brown pick-up truck which was heading east. One of the vehicles, officials are not yet sure which one, ran the red light.
The pick-up and the SUV collided in the intersection, which pushed the SUV into oncoming traffic where it crashed head-first into the black Corvette and then flipped over the Corvette’s roof.
The driver of the SUV sustained critical injuries. Both the driver and passenger from the Corvette were transported via ambulances to a local trauma center with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The fourth vehicle involved in the collision was being driven by an officer with the Utah Transit Authority who was behind the Corvette when it was struck. The force of the impact propelled the Corvette into the UTA vehicle. The officer’s injuries, however, were not serious.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
If you experienced any extent of injury during a Utah traffic accident, speaking with a personal injury right away can be the difference between obtaining full and fair financial compensation and financial hardship or possible bankruptcy.
If your injuries were the result of another driver’s maliciousness or negligence, as most are, you are entitled to solicit financial compensation via a personal injury claim under Utah law.
Before you agree to provide your written or recorded version of events, sign documents of any kind, or enter into negotiations with an insurance adjuster, it is vital that you meet with a reputable car accident attorney. If you pursue a claim without legal representation, odds are you will make a crucial mistake that could void your right to financial compensation for your damages.
