A head-on accident, also recognized as a wrong-way accident, is a term that references physical contact between the front-ends of two vehicles heading in opposite directions. This sort of vehicle crash has the highest rate of victims sustaining serious or even mortal injuries. The degree of force that is normally generated during this type of crash is huge and is the leading reason that head-on accidents made up about 30 of all fatal traffic crashes in 2017.
