Logan, UT (June 14, 2021) – A man was killed during a two-vehicle accident on Monday, June 14th in Logan, when his vehicle collided with a dump truck.
The accident took place at about 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of 1000 West and 1800 North.
An official with the department said that a sedan at the intersection of 1800 North was trying to turn southbound onto 1000 West. A large dump truck that was driving northbound on 1000 West crashed into the sedan.
Investigators determined that the vehicle stopped, before proceeding onto 1000 West.
The driver of the sedan, a man from Cache Valley, died on impact.
Investigators are working to determine if there were other factors in the accident.
The dump truck operator also sustained non-critical injuries. He was treated at the scene.
