Clearfield, UT (June 10, 2021) – A one-year-old was killed on Thursday, June 10th after being struck by a car in the driveway of a house in Clearfield.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene at about 10:45 a.m. to a residence in the area of 1000 South and 1300 West. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the toddler had been hit by a car in the driveway.
In spite of their best efforts, paramedics were unable to do anything to save the child.
According to officers from the Clearfield Police Department, the driver of the car was leaving and thought that the toddler was in a fenced-off area nearby when they began to move their car. The child, however, had followed the adult unnoticed around to the front of the house moments before being hit.
