Bluffdale, UT (June 25, 2021) – A motorcyclist died when he lost control of his bike and struck a concrete barrier on Interstate 15 near 14600 South on Friday, June 25th.
Reports show that at about 3:25 p.m., a man and a woman were riding motorcycles southbound on I-15. The woman, who was traveling in front, ran over debris in the roadway. As she looked back, she saw the man lose control of his bike and then crash into a concrete barrier.
The man then went down with his bike and skidded about 50 yards into the HOV lane. The motorcycle kept skidding down the interstate and came to a stop several yards away from the driver.
A medical helicopter was called and canceled. The victim was taken to Intermountain Medical Center with major head trauma where he was later pronounced dead.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
Establishing fault for a vehicle crash caused by hazardous conditions on state or local roadways varies in difficulty. Some factors that could impact your claim include:
- If carelessly maintained roads, like one with a missing or damaged guardrail or a big pothole that has gone unrepaired caused your accident, a government entity might be to blame.
- Truck owners, truck operators, or other people working in the trucking industry could be held accountable for improperly fastened cargo, overloaded trailers, poorly secured trailers, and tire blow-outs.
- In the event that an inadequately maintained vehicle or improperly secured object, such as a mattress, ladder, furniture, or other construction-related or household item caused your accident, the driver of that vehicle could be held liable.
