Ogden, UT (June 30, 2021) – A man was killed on Tuesday, June 30th after he was hit by a car in Ogden.
The collision happened at about 10:10 p.m. in the 700 block of 21st Street when the driver of the car was driving westbound on 21st Street and struck the pedestrian.
The driver remained at the scene and was not impaired at the time of the crash.
Officials have not released the name of the 58-year-old victim at this time as his family has not yet been notified.
In Utah, pedestrians are afforded the right-of-way in both unmarked and marked crosswalks. They are also permitted to cross the street from any point except where it is explicitly forbidden.
