Auto Accidents in Utah
The three Utah counties with the largest rates of deadly and injury-causing crashes are Cache County, Salt Lake County, and Utah County. The state of Utah as a whole saw 62,074 auto crashes in 2018, more than 200 of which brought about the loss of roughly 260 lives and resulted in over 25,500 people enduring very serious injuries.
If you want to take legal action by filing a claim of personal injury, you have a very specific window of time in which to do so. In Utah, a crash victim is given four years from the day the accident occurred to file their claim. This time limit, known as the statute of limitations, varies from state to state. Once the deadline has passed, any attempt at filing a claim will be denied by the courts.
Time is very limited in these cases, and hiring an experienced car accident attorney is the best way to build your claim, defend your rights, and obtain the financial compensation to which you are entitled.
