The state of Utah places a four-year statute of limitations, starting from the day of your car accident, that you must abide by. If you have never filed a claim of personal injury before, you may not have ever heard of a statute of limitations before and be entirely unaware of this law.
The statute of limitations is rigorously enforced and you will be prevented from collecting any financial compensation if you let the clock run out.
At Jardine Law Offices P.C. P. C., our Utah personal injury attorneys make certain that our clients receive justice. We do everything in our power to make it possible for our clients to receive the maximum amount of compensation possible for their claims.
A statute of limitations is the time frame given to you by the state during which you may bring your personal injury claim or file for a settlement in civil court. Once this time has passed, you will no longer be permitted to claim any financial recovery for your damages.
When injuries result from auto crashes due to the recklessness of other motorists, victims need legal advice from a reputable car accident attorney in Salt Lake City. Anytime someone is harmed due to another driver’s negligence, they are legally permitted to collect financial remuneration from the liable party in order to reduce the economic hardships brought on by hospital bills, lost wages, property damage, and many other losses.
If your case is important to you, it is essential that you don’t hesitate to discuss your claim with an attorney. The more time you allow to pass, the more difficult it will be to put together a strong case and, as previously mentioned, if you allow four years to pass before you take any action, they will be powerless to help you.
