American Fork, UT (August 31, 2021) – Officials have finally discovered the identity of a motorcyclist who died after colliding with a vehicle in a construction zone in Utah County one week ago.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Trevor Jorgenson, a resident of Eagle Mountain.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at about 10:45 p.m.
Reports show that Jorgenson was nearing a construction zone where traffic was reduced to three lanes when his motorcycle collided with a Ford F150 pick-up truck and a Ford Expedition. It then crashed into the back tires of a tractor-trailer.
Onlookers extracted him from under the truck and someone performed CPR. EMS arrived and continued life-saving measures until Jorgenson passed away.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. Trevor Jorgenson, at this time.
Motorcycle Fatalities in American Fork
Critical injuries, like those that affect the brain or spinal cord, and even deaths can be the result of a motorcycle crash. This is especially true if another vehicle was involved. This is because motorcycles do not provide their operators with any of the safety features that are enjoyed by the occupants of passenger vehicles. These features include seat belts, roll cages, and airbags. Their absence leaves riders vulnerable to serious internal injuries as well.
