Logan, UT (April 01, 2021) – Officers from the Logan City Police Department stated that a construction worker was critically injured when he fell five stories at a job site on Wednesday, March 31st.
Officials reported that workers were fitting trusses on the top floor of a building on 800 East close to Utah State University. At some point, the ladder of one of the workers became unstable causing him to fall through a window.
The victim sustained injuries classified as life-threatening.
The man was transported via ambulance to a local hospital, and from there was transported to a hospital in Wasatch Front. His current condition is unknown.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
The major benefit of a personal injury lawsuit is that it entitles victims to compensation for pain and suffering, something not available under a simple worker’s compensation case. With a personal injury claim, victims may seek financial recovery for all of the damages they have sustained, including things such as lost wages, diminished earning capacity, medical costs, anticipated medical costs, lifelong disability, pain and suffering, hedonic damages (decreased quality of life), and many other things as well.
The benefits available through worker’s compensation, which, at its core, is nothing more than an agreement between labor and business owners, are extremely limited.
When victims are injured in accidents caused by the negligence of other drivers, it is crucial that they seek legal guidance from a skilled and knowledgeable personal injury attorney in Salt Lake City as soon as possible.
When victims are harmed in accidents, through no fault of their own, they are often able to obtain compensation from wrongdoers to alleviate the financial costs they face for medical treatment, lost wages, property repairs, and a variety of other economic and non-economic damages.
