St. George, UT – One Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Crash, Fire On N. Valley View Dr

St. George, UT (January 08, 2022) – On Saturday, January 8th an afternoon accident sparked a major vehicle fire and sent a passenger to a local hospital.

St. George police were supervising a funeral procession heading to a nearby church in the 800th block of North Valley View Drive when the crash occurred.

A Ford SUV occupied by three females stopped when the driver became confused by the police presence and stopped in the roadway. Moments later, a Volkswagen slammed into the back of the SUV. The impact caused the striking vehicle to go on fire.

A passenger in the back seat of the SUV was taken by ambulance to St. George Regional Hospital for head trauma and a knee injury.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Passenger Injuries in Utah

Utah driving laws say that a passenger may not be held responsible for the negligent actions that caused an accident. This means that injured passengers may be eligible to pursue financial compensation from the at-fault driver. It is important, however, that victims hire a lawyer who knows the most effective ways to successfully pursue all appropriate and reasonable avenues of economic recovery.

If your car accident was due to another driver’s negligence or wrongdoing, then you, as the injured victim, are entitled to bring a claim against the at-fault driver for every injury, loss, and damage you have sustained.

A reputable and experienced personal injury attorney will know the most up-to-date methods of reviewing every aspect of your accident, ensure that the negligent driver is held accountable, and see to it that you receive the maximum amount of financial compensation you are entitled to under Utah law.
